    Dear Families,

Today the Governor of Massachusetts announced schools will remain closed for the balance of the school year. We will continue remote learning and likely adjust the remote learning plans over the next few weeks.

It is critical that we continue to engage in remote learning to minimize the impact of the closure. We are working diligently to make remote learning work for every child and if we embrace the position we are in, we will get there.

The Commissioner of Education will be providing public schools with new guidance and recommendations to adjust our remote learning plans to minimizing the loss of learning as well as reopening of schools. I have the utmost confidence that our staff will put these plans into action as quickly as possible, and we will update you as soon as changes are to be made.

To our High School Seniors, our thoughts are with you and you are not forgotten. We will do whatever it takes to ensure that you celebrated and that your accomplishments of the last 12 years are recognized. We will follow up with you and your families to include you in the planning. More to come soon!

This situation is very difficult for everyone involved. What I do know, is that as a school community, we will be stronger and more resilient as a result of this unanticipated time. Thank you all for supporting our students and partnering with us as we navigate the world of remote learning.

Please stay safe, take care of your family and friends and stay in touch with us by checking your email and our website often.

    Respectfully,

    Lisa A. Howard
