I am Mr. Parsons and this is my 12th year teaching English at Winthrop High School. Outside of school, I love to spend time with my two daughters, garden in the yard, and take care of my chickens. My main motto is "Know Thyself - The unexamined life is not worth living" 

I am teaching First Year English, Literature and Film, and AP Language and Composition. My main goal is for my students to think critically about important issues while examining different perspectives. I believe that having fun is crucial to the learning process, while at the same time pushing students to become better readers, writers, and thinkers.
